1962-67 Nova Manual Steering Box Install Kit - Quick Ratio
Flaming River now makes a new direct bolt-in steering system for your early Nova to eliminate the long shaft and sloppy, worn-out steering box. This new box design mounts with a convenient chassis bracket and features a quick steering ratio of only 3.5 turns lock-to-lock compared to the original 6 turns.
This allows for an overall improved steering response. Since the early Nova used a slave cylinder, this same manual box can be used with either the power or manual system. We've included virtually everything you need for a clean, simple installation right down to the u-joints and steering column!
- Kit includes quick ratio steering box, mounting plate, tilt column, column mount and universal joints with shaft for installation
- Quick ratio steering box with 3-1/2 turns lock-to-lock
- Micro tilt column - 5 position with GM wiring (only 17" long)
- Eliminates long shaft steering column
- Bolt in Kit - No Welding
This kit will work on vehicles with manual transmission using a cable or hydraulic clutch operation and automatic floor shifters. This kit will not with with a standard clutch fork.
